Flattley Pedals has officially announced the launch of the Reaper 10 AE (10th Anniversary Edition), revisiting the UK boutique builder’s very first production pedal with a modernized, high-gain architectural overhaul.
Hand-crafted and hand-wired in England as part of Flattley’s premium Platinum Range, the Reaper 10 AE takes the op-amp core of the original 2016 model and re-voices it into an aggressive, RAT-inspired distortion engine. Built with a 3-way toggle switch, the pedal offers two distinct clipping voicings alongside a high-headroom boost mode designed to push tube amp preamps straight into natural saturation.
3-Way Clipping & Stage-Focused Hardware
- Hard Clipping Mode (HC): Employs vintage glass-envelope germanium diodes for tight, compressed, high-gain saturation and biting harmonic punch.
- Soft Clipping Mode (SC): Uses an asymmetric clipping circuit combining an LED and a conventional silicon diode, delivering a dynamic, touch-sensitive overdrive with expanded frequency response.
- Clean Boost Mode (BST): Bypasses both clipping stages entirely to deliver a massive, high-output clean boost. Pushing the Gain control near maximum in BST mode forces the boost circuit itself into organic overdrive.
- Stage-Ready Hardware: Features Flattley’s signature purple halo light ring to diffuse LED glare under dark stage lights, custom 20mm black anodized aluminum knobs, and an oversized purple laser-etched aluminum foot topper for easy switching.
