ENGL Amplifiers has officially announced the launch of the Savage 30 (E611), packing the aggressive voicing, fast transient response, and high-gain punch of the legendary Savage platform into a portable, gig-bag-friendly enclosure.
Hand-crafted in Germany, this 30-watt, all-tube head utilizes a classic 4 x ECC83 (12AX7) preamp section paired with a 2 x EL34 power section. Designed to bridge bedroom practice and live stage performance, the Savage 30 features two independent channels (Clean and Lead), onboard sound-shaping switches, a rear-panel Powersoak, and an integrated noise gate.
Tone Shaping & Rear-Panel Utility
- Two Versatile Channels: Covers pristine, shimmering clean tones on the Clean channel to saturated, aggressive metal crunch on the Lead channel.
- Onboard Sound-Shaping Controls: Includes Gain Lo/Hi modes, a Contour switch for midrange focus, and a Depth Boost switch for low-end punch.
- Integrated Noise Gate: Keeps high-gain Lead settings tight and silent during palm-muting and stops, featuring an adjustable threshold level control on the rear panel.
- Built-in Rear Powersoak: Offers variable power reduction modes (Full Power, Mid Power, Low Power, and Speaker Off) for silent direct recording or low-volume home practice without sacrificing tube saturation.
- Flexible Footswitching: Equipped with an S.A.C. Port for the ENGL Z9 footswitch and a dual footswitch jack for the ENGL Z4.
