Aguilar Amplification has announced the release of the DB 700, a lightweight, high-output hybrid bass amplifier. Engineered to deliver the high-voltage, tube-driven response of Aguilar’s flagship DB 751, the DB 700 packages that signature warmth and headroom into an 11.2-pound, tour-ready chassis.
Combining a twin-12AX7 tube preamp with a high-efficiency Class D power section, the DB 700 delivers 700 watts continuous power into loads down to 2.67 ohms, making it fully compatible with multi-cabinet setups.
Analog Tube Front-End Meets Onboard IR Cab Simulation
- 12AX7 Tube Preamp: Built on the DB 751 architecture, utilizing two 12AX7 tubes to capture rich harmonic detail, wide dynamic range, and deep low-end authority.
- Simple 3-Band EQ & Boosts: Features Gain, Master, Bass, Mid, and Treble controls, complemented by dedicated Bright and Deep switches for instant top-end sheen or low-end reinforcement.
- Aguilar Cabinet Suite (IR Loader): A USB-C connection allows players to load stock SL/DB cabinet impulse responses or custom third-party IRs directly onto the amp.
- Dual Direct Outputs: Two balanced XLR DI outputs (with Pre/Post EQ and Ground Lift) allow sending a cabinet-simulated feed to FOH while keeping a dry signal for monitors or studio tracking.
