Soundpeats calls these earbuds “High-Value In-Ear Earbuds” – and I think they are right
When Soundpeats contacted me with an offer to review their new budget-friendly ($29.99 street) C30 earbuds, I agreed to do so, especially since I had just reviewed the premium ($239 street) Status Pro X earbuds. For the difference in price, I was not expecting to like the C30 – but I was wrong.
Everything you need, and more…
The C30 arrived beautifully packaged with everything you need:
- earbuds in a robust, though plasticky, carry case
- USB A to C cable
- 3 sizes of earbud tips
- user guide (printed in impossible to read tiny type) – maybe my eyes are just getting old?
- PeatsAudio app card
- and…stickers with cartoon pandas? Turns out that the panda is their mascot? Well, anyway…something for the kids.
Once the protective plastic was removed from the earbud charging terminals, they were quickly charged and ready to rock. Soundpeats claims “10-Hour Playback & 10-Minute Fast Charge for 3 Hours”. I didn’t set the timer but I was surprised at how quickly they were charged and ready to go.

Pairing
Following the included user guide instructions, pairing was a breeze. And now that I am am paired, whenever I take the C30s out of the case and insert in my ears a pleasant female voice announces “Connect”. When disconnected, the same voice will announce “Disconnected”.
How do they sound? Well…
They sound surprising good for the price point. And after some minor tweaks in the app, I like more bass, I was pleased with the sound quality on a wide range of music. They are not harsh, they do not lack midrange, and the bass is punchy. There is no fatigue with long term listening and I found the earbud tips soft and comfortable.
The app blew me away
I’m totally impressed with the full-featured app. You can select from preset sound profiles for different genres of music or create your own custom profile.
Call quality
Totally happy with call quality and stability. My wife says it sounds better than calls using my S24+.
Gestures
The touch controls worked without a hitch. Check the app for a full description of features.
Bottom line
This is a great sounding set of earbuds with an extensive feature set and robust construction at a price-to-quality ratio that would be hard to beat. Highly recommended.
