Gibson has officially partnered with Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival for its upcoming return to Texas on September 26–27, 2026, at the Moody Center in Austin.
The two-day event brings together an all-star roster of Gibson signature artists, including Joe Bonamassa, Gary Clark Jr., Billy Gibbons, Sierra Hull, Marcus King, and Keb’ Mo’, alongside headliners Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Trey Anastasio.
In addition to the mainstage performances, Gibson is hosting an interactive booth on-site, giving festivalgoers hands-on access to over 30 Gibson, Epiphone, and MESA/Boogie rigs, an exclusive first look at a new Clapton signature model, and the famous Gibson Guitar Throne photo op.
First Look: Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Eric Clapton 1964 ES-335 TDC Reissue
The Gibson booth will offer a world-first preview of the upcoming Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Eric Clapton 1964 ES-335 TDC Reissue, slated for release in summer 2027. Modeled after Clapton’s iconic original 1964 ES-335 used extensively during his tenure with Cream, the reissue celebrates one of the most famous semi-hollowbody electrics in rock history.
- On-Site Giveaway: Attendees visiting the booth can enter for a chance to win one of the Eric Clapton signature guitars when the model officially launches in 2027.
- Original Guitar Display: Retail partner Guitar Center will showcase the original 1964 Gibson ES-335 from its Legends Collection inside The Guitar Center Experience on the venue grounds.
Interactive Gear Booth & Supporting Crossroads Centre Antigua
Festivalgoers can drop by the Gibson booth throughout the weekend to test drive gear, take photos on the Gibson Guitar Throne (constructed from 100 real guitar bodies and necks), and connect with product specialists.
Through Gibson Gives, the company’s philanthropic branch, Gibson continues its support for the Crossroads Centre Antigua, the treatment and recovery facility founded by Clapton in 1998.
