The Tx Series of intelligent, multipurpose point-source modules are the ideal complement to its line of robotic line arrays

Fully configured and controlled via PK .dynamics software, the Tx Series rounds out PK Sound’s Trinity range of robotic line source solutions to provide integrators and customers with a comprehensive solution for a myriad of mobile and installed applications. Included among the compatible audio equipment is the T8 robotic line source system, the newest, compact option in the industry’s first robotically controlled line source family.

The T8 System pairs real-time robotic control of vertical & horizontal acoustic dispersion with tight variable pattern control down to 400 Hz.

“There are plenty of great loudspeakers out there, but PK systems enable users to overcome the unique acoustic challenges of virtually any environment,” shares James Oliver, Chief Strategy Officer with PK Sound. “From arenas and stadiums to theatres and houses of worship, and beyond, users can mechanically configure and optimize system coverage remotely and in real-time to essentially remove the room from the performance. In addition to our robotic line array solutions, the Milan-ready Tx Series point-source modules introduce a complete system offering with an unprecedented degree of control and optimization via PK .dynamics software.”

Available for select performance installation applications beginning in late Q4 2024, the forthcoming Tx Series includes the Tx26, which features controlled 100-degree conical directivity with a frequency response of 55 Hz-18 kHz and 133 dB peak SPL. Its pair of vented 6” Tetracoil transducers with custom phase plugs manage low-frequency response while a 1” HT polymer diaphragm compression driver handles high frequencies.

Tx26’s rugged, premium-grade Baltic birch enclosure is finished with an impact-resistant, tour-grade Polyurea coating.

The larger Tx14 offers controlled 50-degree by 70-degree directivity with a frequency response spanning 50 Hz-18 Hz and 138.5 dB max SPL, all driven from a premium 14” coaxial transducer with a 3” neodymium diaphragm compression driver. As a floor monitor, the Tx14 has a natural inclination of 35 degrees, which is easily extended to 55 degrees via the onboard uptilt stands.

Tx14 is an intelligent multipurpose point-source loudspeaker with onboard DSP, power, and networking.

Featuring PK Sound’s patented multi-axis robotics, T8’s stunning output, with peak SPLs reaching 143.5 dB, is precisely controlled down to 400 Hz in both the vertical and horizontal planes, offering system operators maximum flexibility in making coverage adjustments after the array is flown.

“The robotic arrays from PK Sound are a game changer in that they can alter both vertical and horizontal coverage on-the-fly to mechanically adapt to difficult acoustical conditions or changes in coverage areas — no other speaker array can do this,” commented Bob Patrick, Principal at IPR Services.

PK Sound’s two-channel VE15 1,400 W Class D amplifier maximizes headroom for each Tx module while maintaining crystal clear audio and exceptional output. Onboard DSP and audio-video bridging (AVB) network end points are routed through the world’s first implementation of Neutrik’s DR Series of IP65-rated connectors for maximum stability and seamless operation via PK .dynamics.

Additionally, both the Tx26 and Tx14 are easily mounted or flown with a variety of rigging accessories via onboard M10 rigging points, making them suitable for both portable and installed applications, and will be readily available in early 2025. Version 1.5 of PK. dynamics with full Tx Series support and EASE GLL files for PK Sound’s complete product line is set for release to integrators in Q3 2024.
