Neumann has officially announced the KK 104 A and KK 105 A, a new generation of premium condenser capsule heads designed for Sennheiser wireless handheld transmitters.
Succeeding the popular KK 204 and KK 205 models, the new A-Series capsules bring the detail, transient speed, and transparency of Neumann’s KMS studio-stage condensers to Sennheiser’s latest digital wireless platforms—including the new Spectera ecosystem, EW-D, EW-DX, and Digital 6000/9000 systems.
Both capsules are designed to tackle high-SPL stage environments while delivering high gain-before-feedback, reduced handling noise, and minimal proximity effect thanks to a built-in fixed low-cut filter.
Polar Pattern Options: Cardioid vs. Supercardioid
- KK 104 A (Cardioid): Features a balanced cardioid pickup pattern for excellent feedback rejection alongside greater freedom of movement for vocalists who move around the stage.
- KK 105 A (Supercardioid): Uses a tighter supercardioid pattern to provide maximum off-axis rejection and isolation, making it ideal for loud, crowded stages and tight in-ear monitoring environments.
