MetroClip answers a set of familiar frustrations: metronomes are hard to place, they fall off stands, they disappear behind smartphones or get lost in the noise of rehearsal spaces.
MetroClip solves these by delivering both powerful sound and an innovative visual approach to timing. With a compact clip-on design that attaches to music stands, instruments, or clothing, and a highly visible 3D display that remains clear from any angle, MetroClip helps players keep focus while practicing, rehearsing, or performing. By combining intuitive visual feedback, strong sonic presence, and flexible beat and tempo settings, it supports musicians in keeping time more naturally, wherever and however they play.
At the heart of MetroClip is its distinctive 3D visual display, which provides a strong sense of depth so tempo can be seen clearly even from the side, allowing players to keep their attention on their music while keeping a reliable sense of timing. Musicians can choose among three visual modes to match their preferred way of feeling rhythm. Bounce Mode presents movement like a conductor’s baton, offering a physical, intuitive sense of pulse. Flash Mode lights the meter fully on strong beats and partially on weak beats, making it particularly easy to register tempo in peripheral vision. When used horizontally, L/R Mode evokes the motion of a traditional mechanical metronome, helping musicians experience a familiar visual swing.
MetroClip is designed to go wherever music takes the player. It clips securely to the edge of a music stand, the bell of an instrument, or even a collar, making it useful not only for personal practice but also for sectionals, marching environments, and any rehearsal situation where movement is part of performance. A ball-joint structure allows instant positioning, with fine adjustment to achieve the most natural viewing angle and to match a player’s posture and performance environment.
Despite its compact size, MetroClip delivers a strong, clearly defined sound through a specially designed enclosure and piezo speaker, ensuring that the beat is still audible even in louder rehearsal situations. Its flexibility extends to performance settings as well, with adjustable beats from zero to twelve, plus options for eighth notes, triplet shuffle, and sixteenth-note subdivisions to accommodate both simple and complex rhythms. A wide tempo range from 30 to 300 BPM supports practice in virtually any genre or playing style, while a refined, minimal visual design allows the unit to blend naturally into practice rooms, rehearsal halls, and performance settings alike.
MetroClip also reflects Korg’s focus on practicality and long-term usability. It offers tempo accuracy of ±0.3 percent, factory default settings designed for immediate ease of use, auto power-off after ten minutes to conserve energy, and extended battery life powered by a single AAA alkaline or nickel-metal hydride battery, with performance that can exceed 30 hours depending on usage. Weighing approximately 40 grams including battery and measuring 25 mm wide, 67 mm deep, and 74 mm high, it stays small, lightweight, and unobtrusive while delivering a highly capable metronome experience. Each unit ships with customer documentation and precautions, and specifications and appearance are subject to change without notice as part of ongoing improvement.
With MetroClip, Korg introduces a new era of “seeing” tempo, allowing musicians to stay centered, confident, and connected to time whether practicing individually, working in an ensemble, or rehearsing in motion.
