Dean Guitars stays ahead of the curve with the introduction of the Exile Select Floyd Neck-Thru Archtop Black Burst electric guitar

From the high-access neck-through heel joint to the combination of Fishman Fluence®Modern bridge and Fluence Classic neck pickups, this guitar is not designed to stay in just one lane. Eye-catching and tonally versatile, the Exile Select Floyd Neck-Thru Archtop SBB is a guitar that will inspire players of a range of styles to explore new sonic territory while making the most of every note.

Dean’s Exile Series is the prime example of combining playability and sonic flexibility. Crafted with an Eastern Mahogany body and neck-thru design, the Exile Select exudes a warm and resonant tonal foundation. The addition of a quilt maple top in a Black Burst finish not only enhances its visual allure with intricate patterns but also introduces a touch of brilliance to the tone. The arched maple top further contributes to the guitar’s sustain and resonance. The natural scrape binding is an effective ‘less-is-more’ approach. Together, these features harmonize to deliver an instrument that not only sounds remarkable but also visually captivates.

Dean combines the best of both worlds sonically with the Fishman Fluence Classic neck pickup, and a Fluence Modern bridge pickup, both in black nickel. The Classic has a popular uncovered look that also incorporates a new authentic third voice. The new Voice 3 is a truly authentic single-coil tone thanks to Fluence technology. In Voice 1, users get the classic vintage PAF (Patent Applied For) sound. Voice 2 maintains a clear, airy chime for unreal highs. The Classic is paired with a Fluence Modern bridge humbucker, also multi-voiced, that is free from the hum, noise, and inductance issues. The combination of Fluence technologies results in pure, uncorrupted, musical tone. Players can access almost unlimited different tones by utilizing their dual modes with one volume, push/pull tone knob, and a 3-way blade selector switch.

The Exile Select Floyd Neck-Thru Archtop SBB also offers enhancements for exceptional playing comfort. The 5-piece maple walnut neck construction ensures optimal stability and resonance, while a dual-action truss rod allows for precise adjustments. With a combination of high-fret access, 24 jumbo frets and a 25.5-inch scale length, the Exile Select facilitates effortless string bending and a comfortable reach across the fretboard. The Slim D neck profile and 16-inch fretboard radius promotes fluidity and helps ensure consistent, clear articulation. Pearloid small offset dots provide a visual reference during fast-paced performances.

Equipped with a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge, the Exile Select offers tuning stability and empowers musicians to explore dynamic whammy bar techniques without compromising pitch accuracy. Complementing this innovation is the Floyd Rose R3 nut (1 11/16-inch width), meticulously designed to uphold tuning integrity, enhance sustain, and provide precise string action adjustments. Grover 18:1 tuners help with tuning stability. Dean’s chrome foil logo on the headstock provides an eye-catching contrast against the black hardware.

Thoughtfully designed and meticulously crafted, Dean’s Exile Select Floyd Neck-Thru Archtop Black Burst inspires players to unlock their full potential and explore a diverse sonic landscape with confidence.
