Get ready for the biggest NAMM ever
Its that time of the year again – time to prepare for the most fantastic musical product industry trade show of the year – Winter NAMM at Anaheim. This is no ordinary trade show with slick talking tricksters hawking their wares. No, this is a state of consciousness enhancing phantasm that will rock your world for 4 solid days and nights. Count on over 90,000 attendees and 1,400 exhibitors.
Let’s meet for breakfast at NAMM U
Not to be missed are the breakfast sessions to get warmed up, and coffee’d up, for the show each morning. Joe Lamond, President and CEO of NAMM, hosts these sessions in the Hilton ballroom. Always informative, they have featured industry icons including: Gene Simmons of KISS, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, Yoko Ono and Quincy Jones. Manufacturers have been represented by: Tom Bedell of Two Old Hippies, Chris Martin of Martin Guitars, Remo Belli of Remo, Henry Steinway of Steinway & Sons, Paul Reed Smith of PRS Guitars, Bob Taylor of Taylor Guitars and Bob and Andy Zildjian among others. Joe also interviews retailers to gain insights about their businesses. The last day features the NAMM U Best in Show presentation.
They’re Rockin’ in the aisles
Some of the best musicians in the business will be on hand to demonstrate all the hottest new products. We will be there, as we were at NAMM 2011, for interviews and video, so be sure to check back starting January 19, 2012 for the latest news.
And don’t forget the after party
Each night after the show you can catch several great acts performing at the Marriott, Hilton and other local hotels. Yamaha and others have special concerts, if you’re lucky enough to get a ticket. And don’t forget the TEC Awardson Friday, January 20.
