To kick things off, we’re taking a closer look at two crucial components, the power duo that ensure crystal-clear sound delivery.

The HPS waveguide and U-ART tweeter combine to deliver exceptionally clear and precise audio across the entire range of high frequencies, ensuring you hear every detail in your mix accurately. Let’s dig in!

FEATURE #1
HPS Waveguide: Precision Sound Dispersion
The HPS (High-frequency Propagation System) Waveguide, which was originally crafted for our flagship line, the S Series, is a specialized component in your speakers that helps manage how high-frequency sound waves travel.

It’s engineered to make sure that sound from your monitors spreads out evenly and accurately, so you get the best possible listening experience.

Here’s what it does:
Minimizes reflection: By managing the dispersion of high frequencies, the HPS Waveguide reduces the impact of reflections from horizontal surfaces commonly found in studio setups, such as desks or mixing consoles. This helps ensure that the sound is cleaner and more focused.
Consistent Imaging: Its precisely engineered design helps preserve the quality of the audio signal and makes it easier to tell where sounds are coming from, which is essential for critical listening.
Wide Sweet Spot: Even at high output levels, it establishes a spacious and controlled ‘sweet spot’ within the listening area. This means that even when you crank up the volume, the HPS Waveguide makes sure you’re still hearing accurately, no matter where you’re sitting in the room.

FEATURE #2
U-ART Tweeter: Gold Standard Tweeter Technology
Housed within the HPS Waveguide is the U-ART accelerated ribbon tweeter, aka the gold, hand-folded ribbon notable to all ADAM Audio studio monitors. It’s made of an advanced polymide film, offering extended high-frequency response up to 25 kHz—a feature virtually unheard of in monitors in this price range.

Unlike a conventional dome or cone tweeter that use a piston action to push air and make sound, the U-ART tweeter works differently. It uses the folded ribbon to pull air in and push it out, expanding and contracting as it responds to the audio signal.

This design moves air 4x more efficiently than traditional tweeters, which means it offers:
Extended frequency response: Our tweeters are capable of reproducing high frequencies up to 50 kHz, providing a wider, more detailed frequency spectrum compared to traditional dome tweeters.
Low distortion: This helps maintains the integrity of the audio signal, especially at higher volumes, resulting in cleaner and more accurate sound.

Fast transient response: The lightweight ribbon material used allows for the tweeter to accurately reproduce sudden changes in audio signals, which delivers greater detail and realism in the sound.
