OWC is previewing a major round of upgrades for its Jellyfish network-attached storage platform at IBC 2026, with new tools designed to help creative teams connect faster, find media faster, and move high-resolution files without slowing down the production.
The updates cover Jellyfish Connect, Jellyfish Manager, Jellyfish Media Manager, and ultra-high-speed SMB performance for bandwidth-heavy workflows.
Jellyfish Connect 4 makes setup less painful
For production teams moving between workstations, networks, and locations, getting everyone connected can become its own job.
Jellyfish Connect 4 is designed to make that process easier for Mac and PC users.
The new version adds dynamic port detection, multi-network remote access, support for simultaneous connections to multiple Jellyfish systems, and Active Directory login.
It also adds a new apps section with direct links to workflow tools including Strada, Peakto, Jumper, Resilio, and Shutter Encoder.
The goal is simple:
- Get the team connected.
- Get the media where it needs to be.
- Start working.
Jellyfish Manager 3.2 adds more control
Jellyfish Manager is OWC’s centralized system for configuring, monitoring, and administering Jellyfish storage systems.
Version 3.2 brings updated DaVinci Resolve and MASV integrations, cloud-media restoration, air-gapped system updates, support for larger Active Directory environments, and custom SMTP-server configuration.
For administrators, that means more control without adding more complexity to the rest of the production team’s day.
Media Manager 3.2 is built for bigger projects
Media Manager 3.2 has been rebuilt for speed and adds support for more formats, including ProRes RAW, Immersive BRAW, Sony, Nikon, and RED RAW media.
It also adds in-browser previews for DPX and EXR sequences.
Users can open selected clips directly in desktop applications from the browser interface and apply or edit tags and descriptive metadata across entire selections at once.
For editors and assistant editors working with mountains of footage, that is the kind of workflow improvement that adds up quickly.

25GbE performance comes to Jellyfish Nomad
OWC is also bringing faster SMB ingest and playback to its Jellyfish Nomad system with ATTO SmartNICs and ThunderLink adapters.
The setup includes a custom-cooled dual 25GbE network interface card integrated into Nomad.
That is aimed at creators working with high-resolution, high-bandwidth media who need a single workstation to move serious amounts of data without becoming the bottleneck.

Jellyfish Manager 3.2 and ultra-high-speed SMB performance for Jellyfish Nomad are available now.
Jellyfish Connect 4 and Jellyfish Media Manager 3.2 are expected to roll out during Q4 2026.
