The Home Entertainment Show
The SHOW is a high-end audio show that is open to the public at the Hilton Hotel on MacArthur in Irvine across for the Orange County Airport. This unique show allows vendors to create listening rooms in the guest rooms and suites of the hotel. You can go from room to room and experience an incredible array of audiophile-grade music playback equipment, and you can even bring your own CD to audition a system. This year there were about 200 exhibitors and over 5,000 attendees at the 3 day show. Entertainment in the the Hilton courtyard included International and local Jazz Artist appearances by Mike Garson, Roni Ben-Hur, Nilson Matta, Shunzo Ohno, Gilbert Castellanos, Dean Peer and, afternoon appearances by Barry Rillera and his 5-piece band, long-time instrumental back-ups for The Righteous Brothers. Some of these concerts were recorded LIVE with HD video for future release. Wine-tasting was provided by Rodney Strong, Robert Mondavi and Ste Chateau Michelle vineyards and, cigars were available through Vintage Cigar Lounge near South Coast Plaza.
