This could be the best budget beginner piano with 88 keys
The Glarry brand was established in 2014 with an inspiring mission:
The Glarry GPP105 Digital Piano lives up to this mission with a complete electronic keyboard package (88 semi-weighted key digital piano, stand, headphones, sustain pedal and carry bag) at an affordable $142.88 list price. With the inclusion of 150 Demo Songs, 1000 Rhythms, Built-in lessons and Built-in 3 Watt Stereo Speakers – you literally have everything you need to pursue your dream of learning to play piano.

The stand is easy to set up – if you watch my video first for helpful hints – and you will playing the 88 semi-weighted keys within 30 minutes. The keys feel good under the fingers and the semi-weighted attack is appreciated though I found the velocity key setting (easily switch defeated) to be a little wonky.
The GPP105 has 200 internal sounds and the keyboard can also be connected to other devices through MIDI to function as a MIDI controller. You can record the internal sounds into your DAW through the 1/4″ line output on the back. One small quirk- connecting to the line out does not silence the keyboards internal speakers. For silent playing you will need to plug headphones into the back.
My favorite feature is the built-in RECORD and PLAY function. You can record while playing a passage on the keyboard and then play along with your recording. This is helpful when learning parts or writing music.
I found the GPP105 to be a very usable instrument and will be a great beginner instrument for any age group. At the current list price of $142.88 – and often discounted – it is a solid value.
