Dumble Amplification has officially announced that amplifier production has resumed under the stewardship of the Dumble Preservation Society.
Formed to safeguard the legacy and technical blueprints of the late Alexander “Howard” Dumble, the organization is bringing official, handcrafted tube reissues of Dumble’s most legendary circuits back to the market alongside an authorized digital plug-in suite developed with software company TONE3000.
Official Reissue Lineup & Digital Modeling
- Overdrive Special (ODS) Head: The flagship two-channel circuit revered for its articulate clean channel, cascading tube gain stage, and singing harmonic sustain.
- Tweedle Dee Head: A dynamic, low-wattage circuit inspired by hot-rodded 1950s American tweed topologies with expanded touch sensitivity.
- MegaPLX Head: Alexander Dumble’s high-power interpretation of British high-gain circuits, offering massive low-end authority and aggressive midrange bark.
- TONE3000 Official Digital Plug-In: Developed using circuit component tracing and direct impulse responses from original preserved Dumble units, making authentic Dumble tones accessible inside major DAWs.
